About
Hello! My name is Everett McKee, and I am the artist behind the Happy Dead.
This type of artistic expression is what I naturally gravitate toward as an artist. I’ve always had an affection for clay and sculpting, especially anything connected to claymation. Artists like Tim Burton and others in that world have always stuck with me. I’ve always been drawn to that style and the way those characters feel alive.
I create strange, loveable creatures - the kind that sit on the edge of creepy and comforting at the same time.
My work is rooted in a growing world called The Hollow Grove, where characters like Lucy the Love Mush and the creatures around her come from. Through both sculpture and storytelling, I'm building this world piece by piece - creatures, books, and everything in between.
